About Centre for Employment Research

WHO WE ARE

The Centre for Employment Research (CER) was founded in 2004 to provide cutting-edge research on labour markets, education and skills, policy evaluation and employment relations. We specialise in the analyses of large administrative and survey datasets, and the design and analyses of Randomised Control Trials. Our team of applied economists publish widely across economics and the social sciences, including journals such as the Journal of the Royal Statistical Society Series A, Labour Economics, European Economic Review and Demography.

CER researchers share a passion for applying rigorous methods to identify 'what works', generating high-quality evidence that informs policy and practice.

CER is uniquely placed to deliver meaningful insights to policymakers and practitioners - particularly within the London policy and research communities
