This initiative aims to build capacity for administrative data research in the UK, with a focus on youth transitions. It will provide strategic research leadership and act as a focal point to develop a diverse, cross-sector research community. Drawing on the expertise of the project consortium, we will work to better understand how young people with iterative or disrupted journeys through education and the labour market can be studied using administrative data.  The consortium’s collective knowledge on youth transitions will ensure early identification of gaps in the understanding of ‘what works’ in improving outcomes of young people and reducing inequalities.
