The SAFE (Support, Attend, Fulfil, Exceed) Taskforces project is a new programme introduced in the 2022/23 academic year by the Department of Education. It aims to protect young people in mainstream schools from involvement in serious violence as victims and/or perpetrators, who are truant, or at risk of being permanently excluded, by re-engaging them in education.

The Study Team is drawn from a consortium of three organisations: RAND Europe, the University of Westminster (UW) and FFT Education Datalab (FFT), where FFT and UW lead on the impact evaluation, including establishing the counterfactual, linking datasets, and all impact outcome analyses.
