Dr Elisabeth Michielsens
Elisabeth is a Principal Lecturer in the School of Organisations, Economy and Society, and a member of the Centre for Employment Research.
Elisabeth is mainly involved in qualitative and mixed methods research. Her research and publications have focused on diversity in employment, especially the position of women in male dominated occupations, such as construction, engineering, and science. She also is interested in diversity in higher education, and the impact of COVID-19 on inclusion and diversity in the workplace.
Prior to joining the University of Westminster, she held research posts at the University of Antwerp and University of Warwick. She completed her PhD by Publication at the University of Westminster in 2016 on the topic of “Contextualising diversity management: challenging the effectiveness of the business case.”
