Dr Emma Gorman

Emma is an applied economist working on topics in education, health and labour economics.  Her current research focuses on the economics of education and social mobility, and she has wider interests in the measurement and determinants of population health. As part of the Centre’s activities, she also provides advice on the econometrics of policy evaluation to government departments.

Prior to joining the University of Westminster, Emma held posts at Lancaster University (where she completed her PhD in economics, in 2019), the University of Glasgow, and the New Zealand Treasury. Emma is affiliated with the IZA Institute of Labor Economics, as a Research Fellow, since 2019.
